lithium polymer battery is a liquid lithium-ion battery covered with a layer of polymer shell. The biggest difference from other batteries is the flexible packaging material (aluminum-plastic composite film), which is also the most critical and technically difficult material in lithium polymer battery . Flexible packaging materials are usually divided into three layers, namely, outer barrier layer (generally outer protective layer composed of nylon BOPA or PET), barrier layer (middle layer aluminum foil) and inner layer (multifunctional high resistance barrier layer).
1. Good safety performance
lithium polymer battery is packaged with aluminum-plastic film in structure. In case of potential safety hazards, lithium polymer battery will only blow up and crack at most, rather than explode like steel shell and aluminum shell cell.
2. Light weight
lithium polymer battery is 40% lighter than steel shell lithium battery with the same capacity and 20% lighter than aluminum shell battery.
3. Large capacity
The capacity of lithium polymer battery is 10 ~ 15% higher than that of steel shell battery of the same specification and size, and 5 ~ 10% higher than that of aluminum shell battery.
4. Small internal resistance
The internal resistance of lithium polymer battery is small. At present, the minimum internal resistance of domestic lithium polymer battery core can be less than 35m Ω, which greatly reduces the self power consumption of the battery.
5. Flexible design
The shape of lithium polymer battery can be customized according to the needs of customers to develop new cell models.
However, the existing lithium polymer battery core models of lithium polymer battery are few, which can not meet the market demand; At the same time, the cost of developing new models is high.
